All the major poker sites have started organising the biggest tournaments and one such tournament is happening this weekend. The prize money will be in hundreds of millions. The World Poker Tour (WPT) is offering a whopping $100 million on PartyPoker.

Similarly, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) has guaranteed a $25million prize just on its main event on GGPoker and Natural8. There is also PokerStars Stadium series that’s kicking off this weekend with a $50million prize pool.

Looking at such huge prize money and the fact that the tournament is online, even Kiwi players can now participate and stand a chance to become a millionaire poker player.

WSOP and WPT now online

The coronavirus pandemic has changed everything around and the World Poker Tour was no exception. They had to cancel their regular live events due to the pandemic indefinitely and instead team up with PartyPoker to offer online events.

Looking at the success of the initial series they created the WPT World Online Championships which will commence from 17th July and conclude on 8th September.

PartyPoker has now created an entire bouquet of 12 main WPT-branded tournaments. The top three players from these tournaments will emerge as official WPT champions and secure their seats in the WPT Tournament of the Champions. The buy-ins for this epic tournament will be in the range of $33 to $102K.

So there is a $100 million prize pool guaranteed!

The world series poker too had to cancel its world-famous mega-event, the WSOP series that’s held in Las Vegas due to COVID19 concerns. This made them tie-up with GGPoker Network and put 54 out of 85 gold bracelet WSOP events online on Natural8.

The WSOP kick starts on 19th July and concludes on 6th September. This would be the first time the official series is held online and available to even non-US players. So even players from New Zealand can now participate in this world’s largest poker extravaganza.

It was just two weeks ago that PokerStars announced its new poker series to run in July called the Stadium series. This is a slightly different event as it has an escalating buy-in structure, weekly heats, and Sunday finals. All of this concludes with the main event.

This series started on July 5 and will conclude on August 2 with 102 official Stadium series events. PokerStars is also offering $2 million worth of free tickets and tournament seats.

Just like any other Poker stars series, there are plenty of qualifiers and satellites that run during every heat and finals round. Apart from this, the player finishing top in the weekly heats wins the ticket to the Sunday finals.

It is also not necessary to work your way up in the series. You can buy-in at any level at any time. The heats are the options for those players who do not have a large amount of cash to spend on buy-ins.

You also get freerolls – daily which awards 170 tickets for the main events.
